One of my earliest influences here. 'In My Dreams' was the first guitar solo that just knocked me out. George is a master of the 'song within a song' approach to solo's. All his leads fit perfectly within the song and usually include plenty of mind blowing licks.

His tone is just amazing. George is another one that always seemed to be striving for better technique and tone.

I remember reading an artical about him once where he was talking about his 'red light fright' in the studio and how he preferred recording solo's alone and that gave me a big boost in my own confidence to hear a seasoned player such as George having similar problems that I had faced on many occasions trying to nail the perfect solo but feeling pressured with so many other people around.
